Product description
On load tap changer transformer plays an important role in power system.It can not only stabilize the load center voltage, but also connect the power grid, adjust load current, improve reactive power distribution etc.Its basic principle is to lead out several taps from the coil on one side of the transformer, and switch from one tap to another through OLTC, without cutting off the load current.So as to change the effective number of turns and achieve the purpose of voltage regulation.

On load voltage regulation technology of transformer is widely used in distribution system, and also in step-up transformer of power plant. At present, almost all the large capacity transformers in the power system adopt on load voltage regulators,It is also equipped with a perfect low-voltage distribution network structure and sufficient reactive power compensation capacity to ensure  the safe operation of the power grid and meet the requirements of customers for power quality.


Product features
1.No load voltage regulating transformer need to adjust the tap of high-voltage side only when the power is cut off, 
so as to change the ratio of the transformer to regulate the voltage at the low-voltage side.Its regulation range is small, generally within ± 5%, It can only be adjusted once or twice a year.Most transformers in power system are no-load tap transformers.

2.The on load tap changing transformer has a special switch, which can change the tap position without power off (with load).Its voltage regulation range is large, generally more than 15% or even up to 30%, and it can be adjusted  automatically for several times a day.

3.No excitation voltage regulation refers to no-load voltage regulation,which can be adjusted only when the transformer is off.On load tap chaning transformer can change the voltage by changing the tap position when it is on running.

4.OLTC switch has the advantages of frequent on-off, no spark and long service life.The traditional trigger circuit of power electronic switch has the 
problem of electrical isolation.The application of optical fiber communication technology to the medium and high voltage trigger control system
 can effectively solve the problem of high and low voltage electrical isolation.
